The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet released the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams of 2027, leaving many students in India and abroad anxious, according to ummid.com. The board has also not announced when the exams will begin.

### Key points

- CBSE has not published the 2027 date sheet or time table for Classes 10 and 12.
- The board has not confirmed the start date of the exams, which it did before in earlier years.
- Entrance exam dates and other board schedules, such as ICSE and ISC 2027, are reportedly on hold.
- CBSE has already released the exam pattern, sample papers and marking scheme for 2027.

## What happened in the previous year

The 2026 Class 12 board exams were held from February 17 to April 10, 2026\. The Class 10 exams of 2026 were held from February 17 to March 6, 2026\. The date sheet and detailed time table for both were put up on the CBSE official website in September.

This year, the report says, the board has not yet published the schedule for the 2027 exams. Until last year, CBSE used to confirm the start date of the exams before releasing the detailed time table. This time, even the start date has not been announced.

## Why the delay worries students and schools

Rashmi Dhillon, whose daughter is preparing for the 2027 Class 12 board exam, said the delay is causing unnecessary pressure and mental stress for students. She added that the schedule matters because students also prepare for various entrance exams, and knowing the time table in advance helps them plan.

Sachin Agarwal, a teacher, said the delay has also affected other exam bodies. According to him, the release of dates for various entrance exams and for the ICSE and ISC 2027 board exams has been put on hold. He explained that institutions wait for the CBSE date sheet so that their own exam dates do not clash with it.

## Unconfirmed dates and what is available

The report notes that several media outlets are claiming that CBSE will release the date sheet on one date or another. However, the board itself has not issued any clarification on when the time table will be published.

Students can, for now, use the material that CBSE has already put on its official website. The board had earlier released the exam pattern, sample papers and marking scheme for both the Class 10 and Class 12 exams to be held in 2027.

Students and parents are advised to rely only on the official CBSE website for confirmed information, as the board has not yet announced any date for the release of the time table.
