Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a letter of greetings sent on Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day. According to The Statesman, Sai conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the three crore people of the state. He said the letter showed the Prime Minister's close connection with the land of Chhattisgarh, its hardworking people and its cultural heritage.

### Key points

- CM Sai thanked PM Modi for his Foundation Day letter and said it gives the state fresh energy.

## Letter recalls PM's journeys in the state

In his reply, Sai said the Prime Minister's memories of his travels, from the time of undivided Madhya Pradesh to the forests of Surguja and the remote parts of Bastar, touched people across the state. He also called the Prime Minister's visit last year for the state's Silver Jubilee an unforgettable milestone. During that visit, the new Legislative Assembly building was inaugurated.

He said the state government is committed to Vajpayee's vision of a prosperous and developed state, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi. In his words, working towards this goal is both a privilege and an important responsibility.
