In his post, Kumar wrote: "दिवाली से पहले इस तरह की लापरवाही सड़क पर चल रहे अन्य लोगों की जान को भी खतरे में डाल सकती है।" In English, he said such carelessness before Diwali could put other road users at risk.

He also said police have started an investigation.

### Key points

- A video shows firecrackers fired from a moving car on Dwarka Expressway.
- Police have started an investigation into the incident.
- One report says a 24 year old man has been arrested.
- No accident has been reported in connection with the stunt.

## What does the viral video show?

One news report says the video began circulating on social media on Thursday morning.

It shows a white Hyundai car on the expressway.

A man sitting inside rolls down the window and fires skyshots using a gun-shaped device.

Another car with black tinted windows is seen travelling alongside.

Occupants of that vehicle recorded the incident, reports say. The stunt reportedly caused panic among other motorists.

## Has the police taken any action?

Police have started an investigation. They are trying to identify the vehicle's registration number and the youths involved.

One report says police registered a case on their own initiative.

A separate report says police arrested a 24 year old man on Wednesday.

It also says police seized a car that was allegedly used for the stunts.

These are allegations, and the case is still under investigation.

That separate report does not mention firecrackers. So it is not clear whether it is the same incident.

News Anek has not independently verified these details.

## Why does this matter for people on the road?

Local residents said the act posed a serious risk to other motorists.

They said a sky shot hitting another vehicle could have caused a major accident.

No accident has been reported in connection with this incident. Kumar's post raised the same concern about road safety.

That is his view, and News Anek has not verified it separately.

Police have said that people found violating traffic and safety rules will face strict legal action.
