The woman must be a local resident of Madhya Pradesh.

She can be married. Widows, divorced women and deserted women are also included.

On 1 January of the calendar year of application, she must have completed 21 years. She must be below 60 years of age.

Government employees are strictly not eligible. This includes regular, permanent and contractual government employees, in the woman's family too.

Salaried women in private jobs can apply if the total family income is below Rs 2.5 lakh a year. The scheme is not for families where anyone pays income tax.

For a married woman, the husband's income is counted in the family income.

## Why was this scheme started, and has it changed?

The scheme was launched in June 2023 by the Madhya Pradesh government.

It is run by the Women and Child Development department. Its aim is economic self-reliance, better health and nutrition, and a stronger voice for women in family decisions.

The monthly amount has been increased twice, to Rs 1,250 and then Rs 1,500\. Payments are made in instalments, and the 41st instalment was released in October 2026.

## What documents should you keep ready?

Keep your family Samagra ID or member ID, issued by the Samagra portal.

Keep a mobile number that is recorded in the Samagra portal.

Keep your own bank account passbook. The account must be personal and linked with Aadhaar, with DBT enabled.

Complete Aadhaar e-KYC on the Samagra portal, through OTP or biometrics, before you apply.

## How do you apply online, step by step?

Open cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in or the Ladli Behna mobile app.

Fill the online application form with your details, as needed.

Your camp in-charge or the Anganwadi worker will enter your form online at the camp, gram panchayat or ward office.

You must be present in person, because your live photo will be taken and e-KYC done.

After entry, you get a printed receipt with an online application number. You also get it by SMS or WhatsApp.

## How do you apply offline, at a camp or office?

Application forms are available at the gram panchayat, ward office, camp site or Anganwadi centre.

Take the filled form and your documents to the camp or the ward office.

The in-charge enters the form into the Ladli Behna portal or app, and a printed receipt is given to you.

The whole process is free. Nobody should ask you for money.

## How do you check the payment, and what if it is stuck?

Check your bank account balance, passbook or transaction statement for the latest credit.

You can also confirm your application and payment status on the official portal.

A payment announcement does not mean every account gets the money on the same day. Please wait a little before worrying.

If the amount is still not visible, check that your bank account is Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled, and that e-KYC is complete.
