How this calculator works
Your new basic pay is your current 7th CPC basic pay multiplied by the fitment factor, rounded to the nearest ₹100. The government has not announced the fitment factor yet. Most estimates fall between 1.92 and 2.86; the 7th Pay Commission used 2.57. Change the factor to see different outcomes.
When a new pay commission starts, DA is usually merged and starts again at 0%. Under the 7th CPC, HRA was 24%, 16% and 8% for X, Y and Z cities at the start, rising to 30/20/10% once DA crossed 50%. We use the same pattern here.
Things to keep in mind
- This is an estimate, not an official figure.
- Transport allowance, NPS/GPF deductions and income tax are not included.
- The 8th Pay Commission report is expected in 2027.
