Latest DA rate
The Union Cabinet on 28 October 2026 raised Dearness Allowance for central government employees and Dearness Relief for pensioners by 3 percentage points, from 60% to 63% of basic pay, with effect from 1 July 2026.
How DA is calculated
DA = basic pay × DA rate. For pensioners, DR = basic pension × DR rate. Arrears are the extra amount for every month from the effective date until the month your pay is revised.
