Who can apply, and who cannot?
You must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan. This is a state scheme, so it is only for residents of Rajasthan.
Families are placed in one of two groups. The free category includes families under the National Food Security Act, households in the SECC 2011 list, contractual workers in state departments, boards and corporations, and destitute families who got COVID-19 ex-gratia support. They do not pay any annual fee.
Families not in the free category can join the paid category by paying Rs 850 per family a year. The state government pays the other half of the premium.
Every family member listed on the household Jan Aadhaar card is covered.
